Cats and Quilting

I've been owned by 5 different siamese cats at different times of my life. The first one I knew, named Kim, did me the honor of having a litter of kittens on my bed when I was about 9 or so. As soon as I got out of college, I got a sealpoint siamese kitten that I named Erin, and a few years later, a lilac point buddy for her, Confetti. They both lived thru their late teens, and star in many of the older pictures of cats telling jokes you'll see on these pages.

My present two cats, Libby and Toby, both sealpoints, were adopted from animal shelters. They're in the more recent pictures.

First, the older jokes and adventure pages:

Sam and Janet

Lightbulb

One Liners

Telephone Bill

St. Patrick's Day

My Paw

Matta Baby

Halloween

Self Defense School

Spay Day

Printer Repurr

Sea Adventure

First Watch

Midnight Ride

Trapped Sparkleball

Last Adventure

Toby was rescued when he was about 7 weeks old, from a shelter in Paragould, Arkansas. The shelter director said he'd been found walking down a busy highway, extremely emaciated. Here's some of his earlier pictures:

On Scratching Post

Around this time, I started doing more and more quilting. Cats and fabric and quilts just go together! Here's the next few Cats and Quilts pages I made:

And a Siamese cat quilt, of course! This one is titled,

"Black and White and We're All Over"

Cats and Storm at Sea Quilt

Cats and Denim Quilt

Let it Snow Quilt

Blue Sampler Quilt

I tried my hand at making a tiled table, using my quilting design software, Electric Quilt, to design the layout of the tiles: Tile Table

I'm also trying to learn some heirloom sewing, so I can eventually make a dress for a doll that belonged to my grandmother: Dorothy

Currently, I'm making pages with one or two pictures of the quilt tops I've finished, a quilt record. I've been trying to post them by year completed. Here's the link to what I've done so far:

My Journal of Quilts

Then I got interested in blogging, and it was a much easier way to post pictures and share information with friends and other quilters on the internet. Please feel free to visit my blog for lots more quilts, cat pictures, my attempts at growing tomatoes, and all the more up to date information:
